Impression of Vietnam in an 11 day trip, that provides a trip of Vietnam highlights including Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, Saigon. In this trip, you will visit the 1000 year old Hanoi capital, the charming and historical imperial citadel Hue, the ancient town Hoi An, and the modern Saigon largest city of Vietnam.

FULL ITINERARY
DAY 1: HANOI- ARRIVAL (D)
We will welcome you at Noi Bai International airport and transfer you to hotel in the center of Hanoi. Relax after a long journey before we introduce you about Vietnam daily life with a city walking tour. We will walk through some of the busiest streets of Hanoi Old Quarter which is famous for 36 trading streets where each street was named after the original product or service of the individual trade guilds. We can see examples of traditional, French and Art Deco architecture. Our guide will take you to the oldest bridge in Hanoi, Long Bien bridge, which was built by French people more than 120 years ago. Then, we come down to the center market of Dongxuan where you can see so many local foods and vegetables on sale. Keep walking to the most beautiful lake in the center of Hanoi, Hoan Kiem lake, stop for coffee at a nice place where you can have a fantastic view to Hanoi center. Then come to Thang Long theatre for one hour Water Puppets shows. Dinner at one of Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI – FULL DAY CITY (B,L)
The full day tour commences with a visit to Hochiminh’s Mausoleum ( Close on Mondays, Fridays and in the afternoons every week and 3 last months of the year for maintenance), His House on Stilt and One Pillar Pagoda. Next, we continue our visit to the Temple of Literature which was regarded as the First National University of Vietnam (Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam). Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we depart for Bat Trang ceramic village which locates 17 km to the east of Hanoi along the Red River; here you can wander freely into any workshops or galleries inside the village. Bat Trang was an important centre for ceramic production in Vietnam and the region as far back as to 15th century. The style of the ceramics has changed little recently, while traditional motifs are still being used.
Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY – THE WORLD HERITAGE (B,L,D)
You are advised to wake up early for enjoying the morning sound of Hanoi and walking around Hoan Kiem lake and doing Tai Chi exercise with locals. Back to hotel for freshing up and breakfast. After breakfast, take 3.5 hours driving to Halong bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Upon arrival, transfer to a junk for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets with many amazing shapes. That is great time for you to enjoy wonderful time in Halong bay. Your dinner will be served on board. In the evening, enjoy the night fishing (optional) and later overnight on board.
DAY 4: HALONG – HANOI – DANANG ON LATE AFTERNOON FLIGHT ( BRUNCH)
In the morning, your breakfast or brunch will be served while doing further cruise to explore the beauties of the Bay before returning to the Wharf. Disembark around 11:30-12.00am. On return, before heading to Noibai airport we take a short stop on the way for short break.
Upon arrival in Danang airport, you are escorted by our tour guide to the hotel in Hoian city for staying overnight.
DAY 5: HOIAN – COOKING CLASS AT RED BRIDGE COOKING SCHOOL (B,L)
Be ready at 8:00 at the Hai Scout Café in Hoi An’s old streets to meet the chef. Visit a local market to buy the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. Get on a boat for a leisurely cruise along the Thu Bon River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. On arrival, explore the school’s herb and vegetable garden, before learning about some of Hoi An and Vietnam’s well-known dishes, which are a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines. The cooking lesson lasts about 2 hours– each dish is firstly demonstrated by the Red Bridge’s chef before you prepare the same dish by yourself. The class also contains a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carvings (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked. Then the boat will take you back to Hoi An town and start our Hoian city tour, you will visit some of the famous sites in Hoian such as: Japanese Covered Bridge, Fujian Assembly Hall, Traditional Work Shops, Ancient Houses.... Overnight in Hoian.
DAY 6: FREE DAY IN HOI AN (B)
Today, you will have time at leasure to relax in Hoian. Hoian is famous for walking streets where you can walk freely, no motobike, no car at all! There are many shops, bars, restaurants, coffee stalls and beer restaurants along the your way, you can stop any where to relax and listen to calm and peaceful melody of music here. Another option is that you can go to a nice beach 4 km away from Hoian to go swimming and relax on one of the most beautiful beach in Vietnam or rent a bike to cycle around. Lunch and dinner by your own account. Overnight in Hoian.
DAY 7: HOIAN - HUE (B,L)
After breakfast, we leave Hoian for Hue with a stop in Danang to visit Cham museum where you will see the open air collection of Cham breathtaking sculptures. If the weather is good today, we will go by Haivan Pass where you can have an amazing view of a large area, especially Danang city and Langco beach. Stop for lunch on the way.
After arrival at Hue, we will visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue – another UNESCO designated World Cultural Heritage Site. This is the last citadel was built in Vietnam, our King Gia Long took more than 30 years to finish it. A great wall of 10 km in cercomference Overnight in Hue.
DAY 8: HUE CITY (B,L)
Rise for an early breakfast followed by a visit to the city’s vibrant Dong Ba Market to see it’s abundance of fresh produce. It was in Hue that royal chefs developed the more elaborate dishes of Vietnamese cuisine. Continue to the Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum which is housed within the former Dien Long An Royal Palace. Lunch on your own account.
Following your meal continue to the Mausoleum of Tu Duc, built decades before its occupant's death the tomb was used as a palace retreat before the Emperor’s final resting place. At the end of the day visit the tomb of Khai Dinh which is traditional Vietnamese in design with a European touch making it unique from the other tombs. In the afternoon return to your hotel. Overnight in Hue.
DAY 9: HUE – HO CHI MINH CITY- CU CHI (B,L)
Take morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, heading to Cu Chi District to visit the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Take a guided tour of the Cu Chi tunnels with a veteran guide to gain deep insight and personal accounts of the wartime era. On arrival he will meet the group and take them on
a guided tour of the tunnels together with Red Lotus Travel guide (his service is subject to availability). If desired (and not for the faint hearted and on own account) a round of bullets can be fired from an AK47 gun at a target range at the tunnels. Back to Hochiminh city for visiting the Reunification Palace, Noth Church Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Hochiminh city.
DAY 10: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA FULL DAY (B/L)
In the morning, take 2 hour drive southwest of Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta which is known as the rice bowl of Vietnam. Upon arrival, take aboat cruise along islets and tropical orchards through the mighty Mekong river to reach to an islet, followed by a relaxing walk along shady and palm fringed trails passing by local villages where you can see their peaceful daily life. Stop en route to sip special tea with honey and sample fruits with a local family and see their life in the Mekong Delta. You can walk through their orchard and learn how tropical fruits are grown. Then continue the journey with a paddled sampan through the narrow, tree-lined canals of Mekong River. Enjoy lunch at the islet then visit handicraft villages and a coconut candy factory before returning on shore for driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 11: HO CHI MINH CITY - DEPARTURE (B)
Free time for last minute shopping before going to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure flight. End of service.
